Willie Harold Mason was born July 25, 1955, to Adentries and Emma Mason. Willie departed this life on May 10, 2023. He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle to a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Willie attended Chatham High School. In 1987, he received a certificate in The Bible Program at Central Carolina Technical College, Sanford NC. Willie was a former supervisor at Blythe Industries. In 1993, Willie was employed by Carolina Tank Lines, in which he retired in 2013. Willie was also a driver for Goins Trucking. On December 3, 1977, he married Geraldine “Shirley” Mason and to this union three children were born: LeSonia, Antonio and Miranda.
Willie joined Unity Powerhouse Church in 1981 under the leadership of Bishop William A Goins. He was ordained as a Deacon and was currently serving as the Head Deacon of UP, he was the President of the UP Male Chorus, member of UP Brother’s Club and member of the Usher board. Willie had a passion for singing and driving trucks. He loved his family and church family. When he entered the room, his smile and laughter would light the room.
Willie was preceded in death by his wife: Geraldine “Shirley” Mason; his father and mother: Ardentries Mason, Emma Mason; two brothers: Leroy Mason and Edward Mason.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his children: LeSonia Mason (Jerome) of Greensboro NC, Antonio Mason (Maria) of Greensboro NC, Miranda Mason Baldwin (Michael) of Siler City, NC; a special daughter/niece Deborah Brewer of Siler City, NC, one brother: Tommy Earl Mason (Judy) of Siler City NC; three sisters: Earnestine Mason of Philadelphia PA, Delores Mason of Siler City NC, Betty Marie Brown of Philadelphia PA, mother-in-law Ada Brewer; eight grandchildren: Rasheed, Kiemen, Alexis, Jai, Jamison, Jayda, Dynasty, and Jordan, one great grandchild Kylee, four special grandchildren: Ashley, Messiah, Kane, Kylan and Amoria; goddaughter, Alicia Eubanks; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
