Facuett General Green, Jr.

General Faucett Green, Jr., son of the late General Faucett Green, Sr., and Mollie Speed Cozart, was born on June 16, 1941. He departed this life on Monday, February 8, 2021 after a lengthy illness.

General Faucett Green, Jr., was a loving known by his family and friends as “June”. He was educated in Granville County Schools. He was known for his thoughtfulness and generosity. He was truly a friend to all he met. His early years was spent as a long-distance truck driver, and later in life as a cook, whereas he retired early due to declining health issues.

Mr. Green was not what we call a “religious” person, but he had what most religious people didn’t, and the was a genuine relationship with God. He truly loved the Lord Jesus and all people. Mr. Green understood the love of God and expressed it in his actions daily.  

Mr. Green leaves to cherish his found memories one daughter: Evag. Theresa Mack Person (husband Rev. Ray Person), one son: Ferieth Johnson (wife Teresa Johnson).

Six sisters: W. Jean McNeil (husband Paul McNeil), Rev. Pamela Y. Smith (husband Joseph L. Smith), and Deloris Johnson, all of Durham, NC. Catherine Russell of Warrenton, NC, Julia Oakley of Oxford, NC, and Linda M. Green of Baltimore, MD.

Three brothers: Minister Jarvis O. Cozart (wife Evag. Mary L. Cozart) and George E. Green (wife Helen Green), both of Durham, NC.

He also leaves 3 grandchildren:  Antonio Johnson, Justus Johnson, and Antoine Mack, and a host of nieces and nephews.

One grandchild, Aniyiah Johnson, preceded him in death.
